During the peak of the tide it can be extremely choppy but decreasing as the tide starts going down. A few small fishermen and tourist boats closer to the center. Best during low tides. The best conditions can be found during full moon low tides. Sometimes an excellent swell comes in.

🚶Short walk to the beach
For few Reais from Fortaleza with the local bus. Limitation is the few buses that rides the line. Starting from Fortaleza at 8.30 am and the last leaving Cumbuco at 5 pm. Or by taxi for about 100-130 Reais. About 30 min drive Northeast of Fortaleza. From the airport it takes 45min to get to Cumbuco.
