Otherwise the water is quite choppy. The sea bottom is rocky in a lot of areas so boots are recommended.

🚶Short walk to the beach
From London take the A2/M2 towards Canterbury and than take direction to Margate. Leaving the highway at Whitstable drive through the town, passing the fishing harbor. Take a left at the Windsurfing shop and drive to the waterfront. 75 min drive time from Central London (8 o´clock Sunday mornings).
