A lot of the time you can ride with big gear but when there are depressions it can be really nuking. Usual and best direction: sideshore WSW. Other good directions W, WNW, NE.
When to Go
Fun in fall and spring with 5/3 wetsuit, in summer you can wear shorty, summer wetsuit etc. Surfing the whole year possible, but temps can get below zero. Water temp. 2°C in cold wintertime and 22°C in hot summertime.
