Kite sizes usually 10-16. Wind is almost always N or NW to N more constant, NW slightly offshore and more gusty (rescue boat available). The wind is most reliable in the summer (very reliable), autumn is also great, winter is ok. Gusty winds near shore when it it (slightly) offshore. The hot, dry wind means that you need a slightly bigger kite for the same wind force (the air is less dense).
When to Go
In the summer, the water reaches 30°C, air up to 40°C, but it's dry. In the winter, a short arm wetsuit should be sufficient, water around 20°C, air 20-25°C. Kitesurfing is possible all year round.

Tides are irregular but shallow, only difference is whether you can use the shallow water area in the kite zone of Hotel Shams. The shallow area gets very crowded with beginners.
