When to Go
Spain has a very nice climate all year. Warm and sunny from April to September and no need for a wetsuit. During winter a wetsuit is needed. Air between 20-40°C. The water in Mar Menor never less than 18°C.
What to Expect
Gets deep further out, but the bottom is still visible. There are two nets to keep beach people away from the open water, they are extremely effective as no one goes out. Both nets can be seen if you zoom in closest, one is to the right of the marker and one is far to the left of it. Neither pose a risk to windsurfing or kitesurfing as they are both far apart.

From Cartagena east to Playa Honda and La Manga. From here drive north until you get to El Oasis. Playa del Pudrimel is just before it, south of it on the Mar Menor side.
