September and October is still ok with affordable temperature while you need a good wetsuits in December to March period. April to May is the spring season which can be very surprising in term of temperatures.

It's a very good place for learning and practicing new tricks on the flat water. In the middle of the lake you sometimes have small waves (1 meter) but it's very rare.

🚶Short walk to the beach
From Bordeaux take D6 west to Lacanau. When you arrive to Lacanau town just go straight ahead to the lake direction which is 500m away. Parking area is just in front of the beach so you can't miss it.
