You have to know where to launch, because there are fishing nets and submerged trees in some parts of the lake, and also an area downwind with bulls, which can be aggressive if you go there downwind. There is never too much chop, it depends where you launch, the place to launch is at the north end of the lake, with flat water. The water is about 1 meter deep by the shore, then gets deeper.
